The first bike and boat tour I did with Stephanie Ventures was in Southern Holland with 20 other people from my bike club. I had never traveled alone before but Stephanie was very accommodating for solo female travelers like myself. She was also helpful in suggesting other travel plans while over there. It turned out she was leading another bike and barge tour the following week, this time in France along the Seine from Montargis to Paris. The icing on the cake on that tour was that we ended in Paris the day before the final stage of the Tour de France. Woohoo! These first two bike and barge tours were real eye-opening experiences for me since I had never done a bike tour before, let alone one on a barge. Who knew such things existed? I’ve booked 7 tours since then!
